Valuation Analyst

Valuation Services Beijing/Wuhan

PG Advisory’s Valuation Services department is a leading valuation consulting practice in China, primarily providing valuation advisory and asset appraisal services to China-based new economy companies that are listed or planning to list on U.S., Hong Kong, and A-share markets.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct market and industry research, and retrieve and collect relevant data from databases.

2. Build customized valuation models for different engagement purposes and apply multiple valuation methodologies to assess the value of target companies or assets.

3. Perform on-site work, assisting project managers in conducting interviews with client management regarding the target company’s operations and financials.

4. Review and organize bilingual (Chinese-English) transaction documents and agreements of the target company, and analyze its financial data.

5. Compile valuation data and draft valuation reports with a strong focus on accuracy.

6. Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisors.


Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher; majors in finance, accounting, mathematics, engineering, or related fields preferred.

2. Prior experience at a Big Four accounting firm or other professional financial/accounting advisory firms is a plus.

3. Professional certifications such as CPV, CFA, CPA, or ACCA are preferred.

4. Strong business acumen and analytical thinking skills.

5. Excellent communication skills and willingness to proactively raise and discuss issues with others.

6. Strong team orientation; able to collaborate effectively with team members across multiple locations and respond constructively to feedback.

7. High sense of responsibility and professionalism toward assigned tasks, with strong attention to detail.

8. Quick learner with a proactive attitude toward self-development.

9. Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience using Python for financial modeling is a plus.

10. Fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese; must have passed CET-6, TOEFL, or IELTS.

Analyst / Senior Analyst / Manager

Valuation Services Shanghai/Hangzhou

PG Advisory’s Valuation Services department is a leading valuation consulting practice in China, primarily providing valuation advisory and asset appraisal services to China-based new economy companies that are listed or planning to list on U.S., Hong Kong, and A-share markets.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Collect, analyze, and organize information on comparable companies, and apply quantitative models to calculate key valuation parameters.

2. Conduct market research and industry analysis, gathering data and materials on listed companies and relevant sectors.

3. Apply multiple valuation methodologies to assess the value of target companies or assets:

 a) **Analyst**: Support Senior Analysts and Managers in building valuation models;

 b) **Senior Analyst**: Independently develop and complete valuation models;

 c) **Manager**: Lead engagements independently, overseeing project execution and client deliverables.

4. Compile valuation data and prepare comprehensive valuation reports.

5. Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors.


Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher.

2. Relevant valuation experience:

 – 1–2 years for Analyst roles,

 – 3–5 years for Senior Analyst roles,

 – 6+ years for Manager roles.

3. Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, FRM, CPV, or CVA are preferred.

4. Prior experience at a Big Four accounting firm is a strong advantage.

5. Strong logical thinking, diligence, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively under pressure.

6. Team-oriented mindset; Senior Analysts and Managers must demonstrate strong client communication skills.

7. Solid foundational knowledge in finance, accounting, or related fields.

8. Fluency in both spoken and written English and Chinese.

Investment & M&A Analyst – Financial Due Diligence

Financial Advisory Department Beijin/Shanghai/Wuhan/Hangzhou

We provide services across financial due diligence (FDD) for investment and M&A transactions, tax advisory, valuation services, and data/IT due diligence. Our clients are predominantly China’s leading RMB- and USD-denominated investment institutions, listed companies in China, Hong Kong, and the United States, pre-IPO industry leaders, large privately owned enterprises, and multinational corporations.

PGA operates in Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan, Hangzhou, and Shenzhen, with a team of over 100 professionals. Many of our project managers and mid- to senior-level consultants previously served in the Big Four’s transaction advisory, audit, tax, or data/IT consulting practices. Job Responsibilities :

1、Assist the engagement team with bank reconciliations; verification and analysis of material assets and liabilities, operating expenses, and labor costs; and review and abstraction of key terms in material contracts.

2、Collect, consolidate, and organize financial and operational data of the target company and its industry relevant to the project.

3、Assist in drafting financial due diligence reports.

4、Proactively communicate and escalate issues and support their resolution; deliver work on time per project requirements.

5、Perform other duties as assigned by the project manager.

Qualifications :

1、Current students (junior year undergraduate or first-year postgraduate and above) or recent graduates majoring in Accounting or Financial Management; or candidates from other majors who have passed part of the PRC CPA or ACCA exams (see specifics below), at the same study stage:

  • CPA: Passed any two of Accounting, Auditing, and Financial Management
  • ACCA: Passed all F1–F9 papers

Exemptions are deemed as passes. Candidates who have completed exams and are awaiting results may apply, but must provide proof of passing before onboarding.

2、Prior internship experience in investment, investment banking, consulting, or a Big Four accounting firm is preferred.

3、Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Python and MySQL is a plus.

4、Fluent in both Chinese and English (CET-4 ≥ 600, TOEFL iBT ≥ 100, or IELTS ≥ 6.5 preferred).

5、Strong teamwork skills and a responsible, detail-oriented work attitude.

6、In good health, able to work under pressure and intensity as needed, and willing to travel.
